WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING FOR A LESSON?
MANDATORY
Helmet
Recently tuned mountain bike
All parts, especially BRAKES must be in good working order
Fresh Trails MTB Signed Waiver
This will be emailed to you after registration
Complete 1 per person participating
Minors must have waivers signed by legal parent or guardian

Water
Snacks to keep your energy levels up
Knee and elbow pads
Bike specific multi-tool
NOT PERMITTED
Coaster brakes
Any substances affecting reaction time (I.E. alcohol, drugs)

REGINA AREA HAS EXCELLENT BIKE SHOPS!

HOW DO I GET TO THE TRAILS?
YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR GETTING YOURSELF TO AND FROM THE TRAIL AREA FOR YOUR LESSON.
DIRECTIONS:
Local Green Space (Regina) - (i.e. your neighbourhood park)
Wascana Trails Recreation Area (click for map)
Meet at the South end of the parking lot near the outhouse.
Note there is a basic outhouse but no running water or amenities available.
Buffalo Pound Provincial Park (click for map)
Meet at the Lower Chalet area near the white washroom facility. This location has running water and flush toilets on site.
NOTE: You will need a park pass to access this trailhead available from the front gate on arrival.
**NOTE: We often have several lessons booked at a location. To ensure you have time for your whole session, please arrive on time.
WHAT IF IT RAINS?
WEATHER RELATED CHANGES WILL NOT INCUR CANCELLATION FEES
SESSIONS NEAR REGINA
IF THE TRAILS ARE STILL WET, RIDING ON THEM WILL DAMAGE THEM. We'll coordinate with you to reschedule.
OTHER LOCATIONS
IF THE TRAILS ARE STILL WET BUT CAN HANDLE MOISTURE, we will chat with you to determine whether to ride, re-book, or cancel.

MORE THAN 24 HOURS NOTICE: Simply follow the links in your CONFIRMATION EMAIL to access our website and re-book your lesson
LESS THAN 24 HOURS NOTICE: Contact us to reschedule via phone or email.
CANCELLATION
IF THERE ARE EXTENUATING CIRCUMSTANCES, FEES MAY BE WAIVED
24 hours notice required
Under 24 hours notice may be subject to a $20 cancellation fee
No-show: $20 fee
PLEASE NOTE: If your change or cancellation is COVID exposure or symptom related, there's no charge. Do the right thing and stay home.
HOW DOES PAYMENT WORK?
TO RESERVED ONLINE, YOU'LL NEED A CREDIT CARD. Your card isn't charged outside of the cancellation policy.
You can pay in person after the lesson with CASH, CREDIT CARD, E-TRANSFER or via EMAILED INVOICE.
DO YOU RENT BIKES?
Fat bikes are available to rent, primarily in winter. We are working on a summer fleet, but it's not ready yet.
Regina has 2 excellent bike shops, and in normal times you can rent and demo bikes from them. In COVID times, not so much.

ARE THERE AGE RESTRICTIONS?
OUR INSURANCE requires participants to be between the ages of 8 and 81.
YOUTH UNDER 17 must be ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT.
WHY GET INSTRUCTION HERE INSTEAD OF IN THE MOUNTAINS?
LEARNING NEW SKILLS ON TRAILS/ AND TERRAIN YOU KNOW ALLOWS YOU TO FOCUS ON THE SKILLS YOU WANT TO MASTER.
By learning on trails you're familiar with, you eliminate the unknowns of the trails and build confidence and skill, fast!

WHY NOT JUST WATCH YOUTUBE VIDEOS?
I've used YouTube and there's some great content on there. There's also some really bad advice. And even good advice is only good if your riding skills are at a point they can support the progression.
Our instruction always starts with evaluating where your strengths and opportunities are, and works towards your goals with steps that work for you.
